'The West Village Collection' is the artists' interpretation of the West Village restaurant scene as told by their complimentary matchbooks. This print features hand-painted restaurant matchbooks from a variety of New York hot spots and institutions located in the West Village of the past and present.
My Father's Daughter matchbook series features watercolor illustrations of collected bar and restaurant matchbooks. Chosen as a metaphor for community and shared experience, the subject of matchbooks is part of the artist's study on Objects of Memory.
Created in 2020 as a tribute to New York City restaurants.
